Nestle among the blooms, where flowers reside —
By my soul, which shaped the body's guise —
From the soil of a grave, a whisper reached my ear —
Despair not in this handful of dust (Man), though it seems frail —
The world of hue and fragrance is yours to discern —
You claim that I exist, and God does not preside —
I have no roasted fowl on which to sup; no mirror-shining wine is in my cup;
The Muslim's veins have throbbed with my fire —
The boundless can't be captured in mere phrase —
Love appears in each heart with hues anew —
Still bound by water and clay's constraint —
The passion for words has bled my core —
At last from subtle reason he has fled; His self-willed heart knew passion, and it bled;
