به منزل کوش مانند مه نو
1

به منزل کوش مانند مه نو

درین نیلی فضا هر دم فزون شو

Be nearer to the aim like a moon new, Seek the higher heights with efforts anew.

مقام خویش اگر خواهی درین دیر

به حق دل بند و راه مصطفی رو

A place in this lane if you wish to make, Make a tie with God in the Prophet’s wake.

چو موج از بحر خود بالیده ام من

چو موج از بحر خود بالیده ام من

بخود مثل گهر پیچیده ام من

My self’s own sea gave a rise to me, It sharpen’d my wits like pearls in sea.

از آن نمرود با من سر گران است

به تعمیر حرم کوشیده ام من

On me that ‘Nimrod’ is boiling with rage. Fm trying to build up ‘Harem’s’ image.

بیا ساقی بگردان ساتگین را

بیا ساقی بگردان ساتگین را

بیفشان بر دو گیتی آستین را

Come O’ bearer and move the cup of Wine, And leave the worlds both under long veils line,

حقیقت را به رندی فاش کردند

که ملا کم شناسد رمز دین را

He raised all the curtains before this sot, The codes of His Path the ‘Mullah’ knew not.

بیا ساقی نقاب از رخ برافکن

بیا ساقی نقاب از رخ برافکن

چکید از چشم من خون دل من

Come O’ bearer and raise the veils aside, Cause my heart’s blood’ dripping from the eyes side.

به آن لحنی که نه شرقی نه غربی است

نوائی از مقام «لاتخف» زن

From a tone which gives no East or West trace, Send a ‘no fear note’ from the ‘no fear place.’

برون از سینه کش تکبیر خود را

برون از سینه کش تکبیر خود را

بخاک خویش زن اکسیر خود را

Raise from thy bosom a ‘Call of God Great’, Hit thy own exir on thy dusty fate.

خودی را گیر و محکم گیر و خوش زی

مده در دست کس تقدیر خود را

Gaurd thy ego ever, lead a life nice, To none give thy luck at any great price.

مسلمان از خودی مرد تمام است

مسلمان از خودی مرد تمام است

بخاکش تا خودی میرد غلام است

From self a Muslim is man perfect He is slave when it dies in heart in fact.

12

اگر خود را متاع خویش دانی

نگه را جز بخود بستن حرام است

If you take thy ‘self’, ‘a priceless’ lot, To look save Thee is a tabood thought.

مسلمانان که خود را فاش دیدند

مسلمانان که خود را فاش دیدند

به هر دریا چو گوهر آرمیدند

As long the Muslim, in self can peep, Like pearls they rest in the oceans deep.

اگر از خود رمیدند اندرین دیر

بجان تو که مرگ خود خریدند

From ego if you ran in this fane, Your own death you buy for life’s bargain.

گشودم پردهء از روی تقدیر

گشودم پردهء از روی تقدیر

مشو نومید و راه مصطفی گیر

The veils of thy fortune lo! I ope, Take the Prophet’s path give up no hope.

16

اگر باور نداری آنچه گفتم

ز دین بگریز و مرگ کافری میر

If you believe not whatever I say, Give up the faith and die in Kafir’s way.

به ترکان بسته درها را گشادند

به ترکان بسته درها را گشادند

بنای مصریان محکم نهادند

Now all the shut doors for Turks are ope. The Egypt’s base would be firm I hope.

تو هم دستی بدامان خودی زن

که بی او ملک و دین کس را ندادند

You give a rap too at the Ego’s door, None knew without it his faith and land’s lore.

هر آن قومی که می ریزد بهارش

هر آن قومی که می ریزد بهارش

نسازد جز به بوهای رمیده

A nation whose spring falls to decay, She always craves for the good old days.

20

ز خاکش لاله می روید ولیکن

قبائی دارد از رنگ پریده

A poppy grows though from her dusty gems, It also takes a gown of fading stems.

خدا آن ملتی را سروری داد
21

خدا آن ملتی را سروری داد

که تقدیرش به دست خویش بنوشت

God gave that nation a sway o’er lands, Who shaped her fortunes with her hands.

22

به آن ملت سروکاری ندارد

که دهقانش برای دیگران کشت

With that nation he keeps no links. Whose farmer tills for other’s drinks.

ز رازی حکمت قرآن بیاموز
23

ز رازی حکمت قرآن بیاموز

چراغی از چراغ او بر افروز

From Razi thus learn the Quran’s insight, From his lamp he lit up his own lamp’s light.

24

ولی این نکته را از من فرا گیر

که نتوان زیستن بی مستی و سوز

But a point from me you must learn hence, That can’t be life, lacking flame and trance.
