نوا مستانه در محفل زدم من

شرار زندگی بر گل زدم من

In the great throng so rapturous I did play, I struck the spark of Life out of their clay;

دل از نور خرد کردم ضیا گیر

خرد را بر عیار دل زدم من

I lit the heart with the mind’s radiance, and probed the mind against the heart’s assay.
