اگر نظاره از خود رفتگی آرد حجاب اولی

نگیرد با من این سودا بها از بس گران خواهی

If a sight causes loss of self, it is better hidden from view: I do not accept the deal, Your price is too high.

سخن بی پرده گو با ما شد آن روز کم آمیزی

که می گفتند تو ما را چنین خواهی چنان خواهی

Speak to us unveiled; the time for being reserved is gone – when others told us whatever it was You wanted of us.

نگاه بی ادب زد رخنه ها در چرخ مینائی

دگر عالم بنا کن گر حجابی درمیان خواهی

My insolent eyes have pierced the blue sky. If you want to have a barrier between us, build another world.

چنان خود را نگه داری که با این بی نیازی ها

شهادت بر وجود خود ز خون دوستان خواهی

How You look out for Yourself! For all Your unconcern, You demand the blood of friends to prove you exist.

مقام بندگی دیگر مقام عاشقی دیگر

ز نوری سجده میخواهی ز خاکی بیش از آن خواهی

Worship is one station, love is another: You want angels to bow before you, but men to do still more.

مس خامی که دارم از محبت کیمیا سازم

که فردا چون رسم پیش تو از من ارمغان خواهی

With love I convert the crude copper I have into gold, for when I meet you tomorrow, You will want a gift from me.
