بیا کامروز ما را روز عیدست

بیا کامروز ما را روز عیدست
از این پس عیش و عشرت بر مزیدست

Come, for today is for us a day of festival; henceforward joy and pleasure are on the increase.

بزن دستی بگو کامروز شادی‌ست
که روز خوش هم از اول پدیدست

Clap hands, say, “Today is all happiness”; from the beginning it was manifestly a fine day.

چو یار ما در این عالم که باشد
چنین عیدی به صد دوران که دیدست

Who is there in this world like our Friend? Who has seen such a festival in a hundred cycles?

زمین و آسمان‌ها پرشکر شد
به هر سویی شکرها بردمیدست

Earth and heaven are filled with sugar; in every direction sugarcane has sprouted.

رسید آن بانگ موج گوهرافشان
جهان پرموج و دریا ناپدیدست

The roar of that pearl-scattering sea has arrived; the world is full of waves, and the sea is invisible.

محمد باز از معراج آمد
ز چارم چرخ عیسی دررسیدست

Muhammad has returned from the Ascension; Jesus has arrived from the fourth heaven.

هر آن نقدی کز این جا نیست قلبست
میی کز جام جان نبود پلیدست

Every coin which is not of this place is counterfeit; every wine which is not of the cup of the Soul is impure.

زهی مجلس که ساقی بخت باشد
حریفانش جنید و بایزیدست

What a splendid assembly, where the saki is good fortune, and his companions are Junaid and B¯a Yaz¯ıd!

خماری داشتم من در ارادت
ندانستم که حق ما را مریدست

Crop-sickness afflicted me when I was desirous; I did not know that God Himself desires us.

کنون من خفتم و پاها کشیدم
چو دانستم که بختم می کشیدست

Now I have fallen asleep and stretched out my feet, since I have realised that good fortune has drawn me on.
