If you seek a shore in the sea of love, you ask a thousand flames to become one tongue.

They made me acquainted with the joy of flight; you seek a nest in the garden air.

Cling to the skirt of men who know, if from the Beloved you seek an intimate glance.

You have no madness, yet have raised a cry in the city; you have broken the jar and seek a nocturnal assembly.

You too strive at coquetry and learn belovedness, if from us you seek a lover’s ghazal.
