The wine I poured in the goblet, so young and fine —
Revived the spirit of the old reveller, made him once again shine.

من این می چون مغان دور پیشین
ز چشم مست ساقی وام کردم
Like the wise Magi of ancient times, I confess —
This wine I borrowed from the gaze of the cupbearer, in sweet excess.
