یکی از جملهٔ صالحان به خواب دید پادشاهی را در بهشت و پارسایی در دوزخ.
پرسید که موجبِ درجاتِ این چیست و سبب دَرَکاتِ آن؟ که مردم به خلاف این معتقد بودند.
ندا آمد که این پادشه به ارادتِ درویشان به بهشت اندر است و این پارسا به تقرّبِ پادشاهان در دوزخ.
دَلْقت به چه کار آید و مِسْحیّ و مُرَقَّع
خود را ز عملهایِ نکوهیده بری دار
حاجت به کلاهِ بَرَکی داشتنت نیست
درویشصفت باش و کلاهِ تَتَری دار
A pious man saw in a dream a padshah in paradise and a devotee in hell whereon he asked for the reason of the former’s exaltation and the latter’s degradation, saying that he had imagined the contrary ought to be the case. He received the following answer: ‘The padshah had, for the love he bore to dervishes, been rewarded with paradise and the devotee had, for associating with padshahs, been punished in hell.’
Of what use is thy frock, rosary and patched dress? Keep thyself free from despicable practices. Then thou wilt have no need of a cap of leaves. Have the qualities of a dervish and wear a Tatar cap.
